Alimony Ends!

Posted on 5 April 2011 by Stan

Luckily I didn’t have to kick the bucket for it to end. Three years ago, my divorce was made final by a judge in a Tennessee court room. Without going into all the details, compromises were made so that I could deploy to Iraq. One of the compromises that was made was spousal support or alimony for three years. Five hundred dollars a month for three years is a hard pill to swallow, but I’ve made it through. I have checked that box. I have climbed that mountain and I’m ready to see that extra cash snowballing into my savings account!

Congratulations on making it through, that must have been difficult.

Gawd, I could not IMAGINE having to give my ex $500 a month. I swear, I’d sooner jump off a cliff than give him a dollar. I know you’re glad that’s over. Congrats!
