About ten years ago, a couple of friends and I made our way to Davis-Kidd Booksellers to a book signing. Tucker Max had just released his second book, Assholes Finish First. All of us had read his first book, I Hope They Serve Beer In Hell, and wanted to get a copy of the second book and have the opportunity to meet Tucker. We had a good time listening to Tucker talk about the success of his first book and what went into the second book.
We got in line to meet Mr. Max and have our books autographed. When I made it to the front of the line, Tucker asked me what my name was and inscribed the following:
Stan,
Fucking Eminem ruined your life.

I honestly had no clue what he meant. I knew Mr. Mathers had a song named Stan, but I wasn’t really familiar with it. I listened to it and realized that Stan was a super fan and instantly knew what Tucker had meant.
Fast forward ten or so years and I’m sitting at the house and spiraling down a YouTube wormhole. I watch a video about Eminem and I see something that caught my eye. I had to rewatch that portion of the video. Then I had to find the Stan video and verify what I thought I saw. I watched the video until there were only 13 seconds left, and it there it was.
I had cold chills when I saw this! It’s kinda eerie. Check out the video below to see for yourself at 7:57.
